CURRENT TEACHING ACTIVITIES

Elementary particles, addressed to the students in the third year from the bachelor degree studies at the Faculty of Physics, University of Craiova
Main topics: production and detection of elementary particles, historical introduction to the elementary particles-experiments and theories, elementary  particles and  their fundamental  interactions in the Standard Model, symmetries and conservation laws, conservative quantum numbers, lifetime and cross sections.

Physics of the Earth and atmosphere. Meteorology, addressed to the students in the third year from the bachelor degree studies at the Faculty of Physics, University of Craiova
Main topics: origin and history of the Solar System, composition of the Earth, geopotential and the Earth figure, geomagnetic field, seismic wave propagation, seismological determination of the Earth structure, origin and composition of the Earth atmosphere, properties and  variables of the atmosphere, thermodynamics of the atmosphere, meteorological equations.

History of physics, addressed to the students in the third year from the bachelor degree studies at the Faculty of Physics, University of Craiova
Main topics: milestones in the evolution and becoming of Physics as a fundamental science of Nature,  evolution of fundamental concepts, remarkable personalities of Physics evolution.
