BRIEF HISTORY
Our Faculty's history has the following stages:
- 1990 - the Department of Physical Education and Sport of the Faculty of Science is founded.
- 1995 - the previous Department become the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport by the written disposition of the Ministry of Education.
- 1997 - the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport is accredited.
- 1997 - the Department of kinesiology is authorized.
- 1998 - from 1998 the Faculty,s residence has been on Brestei street, number 156 ( at these address was before the former military highschool ).
- 2000 - the Department of Physical Education and Sports Management is founded.
- 2003 - Master: " Sports and sport,s management ", daily courses, lasts two years.
- 2004 - Master: " Traumaticology and recovery from sport point of view'', daily courses, lasts two years.
- 2004 - the Department of kinesiology is accredited.
- 2004 - the Kinesiology Department of the University " Gheorghe Anghel " from Drobeta - Turnu Severin is taken over by the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport from Craiova.
- 2005 - postuniversitary courses: " Therapeutic massage, massage special technics, massage and recovery new concepts of the infantile pathology '', daily courses, lasts one semester (120 hours).
The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport promotes a high quality education for all its students.
