SUMMARY

The paper presents the comparative results regarding the morphological and anatomical analysis of the Prunus cerasifera fruit non-attacked and attacked by Taphrina pruni. The non-attacked  fruit have ovoid shape, and the parasited ones are bow shaped and present hyperatrophy.

At the non-attacked fruit we can notice: the cuticle, the epicarp made up of celles with slightly colenchimatized walls, the multistrata mesocarp with external cells containing chloroplasts and the multistrata endocarp made up of sclerenchima cells. All this can be noticed as compared to the attacked fruit which do not have an obvious cuticle, the epicarp has only one stratum and it is made up of parenchima cells, the mosocarp is multistrata and presents hypertrophy and the endocarp is made up of a few strata of parenchima cells tangently elongated.
