THE SPECIES OF THE PICHIA GENUS ISOLATED FROM THE VITICULTURAL ECOTOPE BANU MĂRĂCINE

ABSTRACT

 

During the three years of research 2001-2003, from the vineyard soil, the grapes, must and wine there has been isolated 1123 yeast strain, from which 717 strains (63,85%) belonged to the sporogenous species and 406 (36,15%) to the nonsporogenous species.

From the Pichia Genus at the viticultural ecotope Banu Mărăcine, there has been isolated two sporogenous species: Pichia membranaefaciens Hansen and Pichia fermentans Lodder.    For their characterization we have take it into account the habitat from which these species has been isolated and also the results of the physiological tests associating to them morphological and physiological features characteristic for the viticultural ecotope Banu Mărăcine.
