BIOMETRICAL AND HISTOLOGICAL OBSERVATIONS ON

QUERCUS PEDUNCULIFLORA K. KOCH (FAGACEAE) LEAVES

In this paper, the leaf, as a vegetative organ of a plant, is defined not only by morpho-histological features but also by mathematical criterions, which is not an easy task allowing for their polymorphism. For example we stopped on Quercus pedunculiflora K. Koch leaves. The biometrical calculations were performed by the literature. Remarkable are the hairs analyzed on the lower side of the leaf, as an important criterion for the taxonomic characterization of a plant. We consider that this methodology, used for the leaves characterization - the biometrical method - completes the study of this taxon.
