ABSTRACT

In these papers there are shown the results of a complex study concerning the technical potential of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties, that were planted on Starmina Area, which is a part of the most known Orevita Vineyard - Vanju Mare. The two varieties emphasize an extraordinary qualitative potential, that is constant from one year to another, and it is given by the richness of glucides, anthocyans and total polyphenols, which are the most important constituents for obtaining the high quality red wines.
