We studied 264 toads from 8 sites, situated in the natural reservation of the inferior course of the Tur River. We have established the geographical localization of the hybrid zone in the region. Here, there are present populations close to Bombina bombina, populations close to Bombina variegata, as well as hybrid populations. The hybridization zone, of a cline type is situated at 130-160 m altitude.
