The birds of the municipality of Craiova during the aestival season

During the aestival season, between 2003 and 2006, there were observed 69 species distributed in 13 orders and 32 families. The number of species and individuals oscillates in the four analysed years as they depend on food and climatic factors.
The most numerous species were noticed in 2003 – 60 species. During the aestival season, it can be noticed the hatching of the eggs by some birds that lay eggs twice or many times per year, as well as the parents’ taking care of the chicks.
