HISTORY

The Paulownia type is represented by nine species, used in the origin country China, especially for timber. It is very adaptable, widely spread and extremely fast growing, both in the North and South of China. Nowadays, the type is cultivated or is naturally spread in 23 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. It grows both on planes and on mountains up too 2000 m altitude. Thus, this type is very suitable for cultivation in China.

In normal conditions, a 10 years old Paulownia tree has a diameter of 30-40 cm and will produce 0,3-0,5 m3 wooden mass. In optimal conditions, even at the age of 5-6 years, it can produce enough wooden mass. The wooden mass is easy, has good hardness, dries fast, doesn’t crack and doesn’t deform easily. The wood can be easily manipulated and can be successfully used in the industry furniture, of musical instruments, as well as in many other domains.
