ABSTRACT

The Victoria kind undoubtedly constitutes the Romanian viticultural identity in the field of table grapes, at the moment of joining the European Union.

Under the conditions of the Andalusian Mediterranean climate (Spain), the Victoria kind reached to a maturation precocity of the grapes of 4 to 14 days in comparison with Romania and reached to higher values of the mean weights of a cluster or of a grape.

Under the conditions of the temperate submediterranean climate from Southern Romania, the Victoria kind is recommended or authorized in 52 viticultural centers. High amounts of grapes are obtained at vintage, of the extra market quality, at Dragasani, Greaca and Ostrov, sited in the Danube-Pontic and Piemont-Getic zones.
