Abstract

The biological material consisted of local land races collected from three counties: Arad, Timis and Bihor within the Phare program, whose main objective was to rescue the vegetable local forms. We have evaluated the following characters: the shape index, the number of bulbils / plant, the bulb diameter, the bulb weight. Combining these characters we can create more productive forms that can be introduced and exploited in culture.
