ABSTRACT

Besides the other components of the organization’s dynamics (the structure, the roles, the responsabilities and the management methods), there are the organizational culture, too, which determins its success and performance, mainly. It doesn’t refer to what people are asked for, but to the way in which they carry on their tasks. The organizational culture is proper to each organization and springs from its history and experience and determines the way of reacting of the members in front of a certain situation. Organizational culture is resistant to change because many of the cultural control mechanism become internalized in the minds of organizational members, that is what makes culture such strong control mechanism. Changing organizational culture often means that members have to change their entire social identify.
